  • Why the IMD +

The Illinois Medical District (IMD) is unlike any other in the country - it is one of the largest urban medical districts in the United States, and has one of the most diverse patient populations.  Situated less than two miles from Chicago’s central business community, the IMD (VIEW MAP) is a 24/7 environment with four hospitals, two universities, labs, raw development area, more than 40 health care related facilities, and is home to the Chicago Technology Park (CTP). The District is conveniently accessed by public transportation and major expressways. The IMD is also designated as a special-use zoning district and offers a number of incentives to those interested in development.
